building, load bearing exterior masonry, structural steel
interior framing with floor and roof joists. Exterior brick
and pre-cast concrete. The delivery was completed for
occupancy in 9 months.
The building, consists of 3
floors of city offices, agencies and Council Chambers. As a
member of the pre-construction team, Mathews assisted with
budget estimating and Value Development of the project.
Through direct purchases coordinated by Mathews, there was a
sales tax savings of more than $64,000. Additionally through
cost effective measures, there was a savings of $160,000,
split 70/30, with the owner receiving
$112,000.
